The project

A Windows-first application bringing roof geometry, truss layouts, pricing and drawing exports together in a desktop workflow.

Supports quotation and visual review; final design requires verification by a qualified engineer or manufacturer.

01 / Challenge

What had to change

Bring spatial editing, project state, schedules and quotation data into a usable specialist interface without implying certified engineering outputs.

02 / Approach

How it was shaped

A Tauri desktop shell combines React, TypeScript, Zustand and Zod with versioned project files. Interactive layout views feed schedules, indicative pricing and PDF reports.

03 / Outcome

What it delivered

Supports quotation and visual review; final design requires verification by a qualified engineer or manufacturer.

Application engineering

Workbench

Plan, roof, truss, joist, 3D and quotation views bring geometry editing and schedules into a single desktop interface. Project files are versioned and validated when loaded and saved.

Workflow

Walls and roof planes inform indicative truss and joist layouts. Pricing settings, schedules, warnings and drawing sheets feed quote and PDF exports.

Scope

Outputs are indicative and require review by a qualified engineer or manufacturer. The application is not certified structural-design software.
